DICOM Connectivity Framework expands support for managed code in .NET Framework
Laurel Bridge has enhanced support for DICOM developers using the Windows .NET framework. Version 2.8.0a of the DCF software expands DICOM support for
managed code development in addition to the COM-based interfaces
previously supported. Multiple approaches are now available to the
developer using .NET languages to access the DCF libraries.
The current release provides managed code support for DICOM SCUs, including store, print, verification, and query/retrieve. Part 10 Media storage is now supported natively in C#, in addition to Java and C++, allowing DCF developers to implement FSR, FSC, and FSU roles with minimal effort. Uniquely, the DCF allows the user to apply user defined filters to the DICOM dataset as part of the I/O pipeline. In addition to improving .NET support, LBS is continuing to enhance legacy support for VS6 developers. April 10, 2005
DICOM Protocol Analyzer v2.7.3 update released for Windows
Laurel Bridge announced enhanced support for DICOM protocol monitoring using the Microsoft Windows environment.
The DPA monitors and logs DICOM network communications. Designed for hospital network administrators,
developers and field service engineers, it facilitates installation of DICOM devices and supports
development and testing of DICOM interfaces on servers (SCPs) and clients (SCUs) by providing convenient,
real-time monitoring and logging of DICOM messages. The DPA software acts as an intermediate node
between a DICOM client and server: inspecting, forwarding, and optionally logging DICOM PDUs sent
by each DICOM Application Entity. The user configures the monitored devices to communicate via the
DPA; once so configured, the user may monitor the DICOM communication via any web browser that
has network access to the DPA device.
